Patagonia Chile 2017: Winter Training Hike – Stanley Park
With snow and ice still sticking around on our planned trails we went where the snow wan`t. Our backup was the venerable Stanley Park. We backpacked the seawall with some people giving us strange looks but occasionally some people surmised that we were training for something. We’ve been getting many people interested in what we’re doing so hopefully armed with our S2P brochure they have made a donation to the project.
Partly around the seawall a second time we had enough and hiked the softer earthed trails amid trees and less people.
The group is getting used to pumping out 20 km hikes more and more each time so I think we’ll be in great shape for our Chilean trails.
